According to the census 2001, there has been a considerable increase in
the population of visually disabled persons. The census says that the population of disabled people in India is 5% of total
population. This is approximately two percent more than that of last census. Keeping in view the increased number of people
with visual impairment and need for their rehabilitation, we have taken in hand a scheme called Special Programme for the
Welfare of the Blind. Since all the schemes related to the welfare of the blind and disabled need financial support, we have
introduced this special fund raising scheme by involving the Social Workers who can become the members of the Special Programme
for the Welfare of the Blind by donating an amount of Rs.261/- (Two Hundred Sixty one only) (Non-refundable) and get attractive
remuneration. Thus, through the Special Programme for the Welfare of the Blind the Donor attached to the organization earn
remuneration and the financial position of the federation becomes strong enough to run the project for the rehabilitation
of the blind. The federation gives following facility to the persons involved in blind welfare activities:- |
